1.0 out of 5 stars What a disappointment!!!, June 25, 2010
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Transformers: Cybertron Adventures (Video Game)
After reading the write-up for this game, and watching the trailer, I was very excited to get it. The story-line is very good, and the graphics are so-so. I expected this to be a "free roaming" game, with objectives, like all the other Transformers games I've played...but it's not. You have NO control of your character at all, except duck, aim, and shoot(and steer in alt-mode). Part of the fun of a Transformers game, is being able to TRANSFORM WHEN YOU WANT!!! Co-op mode(2 player) is even worse. Half of the control you DO have over one character is given to the other player. It was very easy to beat, and not that challenging. No unlockables, except for artwork(whooptie-freakin'-doo). The rating is T for teen, but my 11 year-old thought this game was stupid. The write-up for this game said you would be able to create your own character...Maybe for the PS3 or XBOX, but I guess not for the Wii. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

I have had a chance to play three versions of the game. I bought the DS version at the local GameStop, ordered the Wii version from Amazon, and a friend of mine has the PS3 version. The Wii version is the worst. The game is advertised as an action game, but really all you are getting is a rail shooter. I gave the game a 3 star rating because as a rail shooter, it's average, but as an action game, I would actually rate it a 1.

You have absolutely no control over you character's movements, you only have to point you wiimote at the screen like a gun and shoot. Oh, you do use the nunchuk to switch weapons. The game is a tad bit more enjoyable with a zapper. The graphics are sub par even for a Wii game, the characters look like they were put together with Legos.

If you are a customer like me and have both the Nintendo Wii and DS, I would highly recommend getting the DS version instead because it actually contains the action game that was advertised. If you have a... Read more

This game should embarrass Activision, a company that's been making games for about 30 years. The ONLY thing I liked about it was aiming the sniper rifle, the rest was garbage.
First, the game gives you no choices except which campaign you play, Autobot or Decepticon. Once you choose, I thought there would be some kind of character creation page, but no. You use the character they decided was right for the mission.
And once you get into it, you quickly realize the gameplay is at least a decade behind the times. Over 10 years ago Everquest had a far superior interface with the character, letting you walk, fight, whatever you needed to do in an interactive environment. Here, you either drive/ fly on a track with no choices, or the computer walks you from cover spot to cover spot. How can a Transformer game in 2010 not let you choose when to Transform and do it yourself? My DS "Transformers: Autobots" lets you do more, and I bought it used on what should be an... Read more
