Only played it a few hours but so far I absolutely love it! I'm so glad they finally made a decent game that does the Transformers universe justice. Being able to transform instantly at any time to utilize different abilities is a lot of fun in both campaign and multi-player modes. The four different classes, weapon choices, abilities and transformations add a great deal of depth and strategy. I love the design of the Characters and world, I've always been a big fan of the futuristic look of Cybertron and find it a lot more exciting than the old school normal vehicles on Earth. It's also nice to experience a prequel to the animated series. It uses the Unreal 3 Engine so it looks great and runs smooth even on my system which is a couple years old (but still over the minimum requirements). NOTE: For some... The reasons they cite (which are largely true and accurate) include linear play, as opposed to the sandbox approach that has been taking off in recent years, and repetitive gameplay. The point that these reviewers miss, I think, is that the game doesn't fail at delivering sandbox play because of some design flaw; it is exactly what it was made to be, and for that purpose, and on its own strengths, it should not be demerited for failing to provide something it was clearly never meant to deliver. It also has drop-in/drop-out co-op story mode play for 1-3 people. Games that have drop-in/drop-out multiplayer are designed to be easy to pick up, and just as easy to put down, in so far as there is no real penalty for quitting that is administered by the game itself.
